persumabely the scene for heavyweights in japan is nearly nonexistant -- he had to lower his weight class to MW to able to compete domestically. Current time(manga) takamura has gained worldwide recognition by beating world rankers, has now ability to to set up matches with the many other world rankers in the higher weight divisions relieving him from his previous handicap of being only able to compete up you Middleweight because he could only fight deomestically, now having access to world-class competition.
